For our discussion, Gary will speak about food culture in France, both the cliché and the reality, and about his recent research into "bistro life" in Paris. He'll whet our appetite for travel to France (and dinner at Anton's) with stories about the owners, chefs and patrons of the dwindling yet living institution that is the old-fashion neighborhood bistro.
