Come help us celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the D&R Canal State Park and this great natural wonder that we are all so lucky to enjoy. Entry by donation with a portion benefitting the D&R Canal Watch.

The Delaware and Raritan Canal Watch will hold a special event, screening film shorts of the D&R Canal. After a brief introduction, Bob (D&R Canal Watch Trustee) and Linda Barth (President of the D&R Canal Watch) will begin the program with a showing of the NJN film, “The Delaware and Raritan Canal,” narrated by radio personality Jean Shepherd followed by the “Bridgetender’s Boy,” a film made by award-winning filmmaker Fred Frintrup for the Franklin Township (Somerset County) School District. Also, on the docket will be “Canals of New Jersey,” from the Canal Society of New Jersey, and a slide show from the Delaware and Raritan Canal Commission. A discussion will follow.
