Inspired by a curiosity about our country’s careless habit of sending food straight to landfills, the multi award-winning documentary DIVE! follows filmmaker Jeremy Seifert and friends as they dumpster dive in the back alleys and gated garbage receptacles of Los Angeles’ supermarkets. In the process, they salvage thousands of dollars worth of good, edible food – resulting in an inspiring documentary that is equal parts entertainment, guerrilla journalism and call to action.

2011 Oscar-nominated documentary, WASTE LAND is an uplifting film about the transformative power of art and the alchemy of the human spirit.  Top-selling contemporary artist Vik Muniz takes us on an emotional journey from Jardim Gramacho, the world’s largest landfill on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro, to the heights of international art stardom.  In Rio, Vik collaborates with the local “catadores,” pickers who work tirelessly in Rio’s massive dumps to find recyclable materials to resell, photographing them and then recreating those photographic images out of the very same garbage that the ”catadores” work in each day.
